This project involved construction of a boat ramp for the Seabird Caravan Park, including installation of piles 273 mm on the beach front, cutting piles to correct angle, installing steel beams, and craning pre cast concrete deck panels into place.

Seabird boat ramp

Key features

• In-house fabrication of piles and pre-casting of concrete structures.
• The use of MJC’s existing Exmouth depot allowed us to provide a very cost-effective mobilisation and work in a remote area.
• All work completed to specifications, and within quality, time and budget constraints.

Work in an area of high environmental significance required implementation of a site-specific management plan to minimise our environmental footprint.

Installing the piles with the use of a track mounted excavator and hydraulic power head to screw the piles in with little beach access.
